AdSafe Launches Ad Verification Platform
With the rapid rise of social networks, user-generated content – from community sites to commentary on professionally-generated material – and syndicated content from large "demand generated" networks, it’s not hard to see how publishers may feel they’re losing control over their content quality. Meanwhile, networks are acquiring and contextualizing content in bulk from those same traditionally reliable content pools. They may be able to give it context and targeting, but how can they be sure it’s brand-worthy? Enter AdSafe Media. The company has engineered a kind of filter, comprised of a mix of machine intelligence and thousands of "real people" tasked through Amazon’s Mechanical Turk that certifies content as safe and appropriate for brands. In fact, its "Brandsafe Firewall" even allows ad buyers to set a range of acceptable context – from what you might call "Disney" to something a little edgier for high fashion, music or gaming campaigns.
